Yesterday, I was in a Committee meeting with my Congregation of Dominican Sisters. Interestingly, as part of our opening prayer, a short clip of an acceptance speech by Tyler Perry was played. It was very inspiring. I’m going to leave a couple phrases from his speech for you to ponder this week:
“ Meet someone at their humanity”
“ Refuse hate”
“ Refuse blanket judgement”
“ Meet in the middle”
Maybe we can all center on these thoughts in our prayer this week.
