Education is the lynchpin of the pillars. Education is the only path forward and out of poverty, injustice, and inequality. An education provides opportunities, hope, and a foundation from which to build a brighter future. The pillars of Medical, Eco, and Community Development all contribute to providing better opportunities for and increasing the likelihood of getting the education necessary for a brighter future.

A hallmark of rural poverty is the lack of quality healthcare services. As a consequence, those in rural, underserved areas suffer physically and emotionally. Our clinic and the services offered directly respond to the requests and the needs of those we serve and target the healthcare needs unique to our service area.

Providing affordable housing opportunities to those in need in highly rural areas is essential in creating a stable family environment. It gives families a place to call their own when they might have little else and gives them the pride of ownership and hope for their future.

Mission programs have been developed in conjunction with those we serve to provide opportunities to help meet immediate needs while at the same time reducing the impact on health and the environment. Water filters, fuel-efficient stoves, sanitary toileting facilities, community gardens, and other programs are designed with that goal in mind.
