2026 Golf Classic

I just returned from our annual Mission Trip to Martin, Kentucky. I'm feeling a mixture of thankfulness and rejuvenation (which always comes with a mission trip), exhaustion (which also comes with every mission trip), and now panic.

The panic comes with the realization that our Mission Golf tournament is now less than two weeks away, and we still need golfers and donations of gift cards and baskets.

I'm told I panic every year and that the Mission of Hope family of supporters, volunteers, and donors always comes through. I know in my heart that this will be the same again this year. Please, if you are able, consider playing, sponsoring, or donating to the tournament. As importantly, please pray for the success of this fundraiser. It is our largest single fundraising event, and the proceeds provide needed program funding. Please tell a friend!

Golf Annual Tournament

The McSweeney's/ NCMOH annual Golf Tournament will take place at the Barracks Golf Courses in Plattsburgh on Friday, August 14th, 2026. Our tournament is a 2-person scramble, with a shotgun start. McSweeney's provides Michigan's on-course throughout the tournament. 

You can provide additional support to the NCMOH by participating in our basket raffle, balloon pop, 50/50, tee shot on the green games, and much more. You'll also compete for prizes for Men's and Women's closest to the hole and crooked line games. We have teams in Mixed, Men's, and Women's groups. The winning group wins prizes in each category. Costs and details can be found in the attached brochure.

Do you have a regular foursome? There is no need to break up the group. You can play together on two teams. 

Not a golfer, you can still help out! 

Become a Friend of the Mission sponsor for $50.00, or sponsor a hole for $150.00. You can explore all the different funding levels on the attached brochure.

We also need 25 to 30 Gift Baskets (pick any theme you'd like) for our raffle, or donations of gift cards between $15.00 and $50.00 in value for our balloon pop, both of which make up a large portion of the event's overall fundraising total.

We could also use more volunteers for setup, teardown, registration, gift basket, and 50/50 ticket sales. We also need on-course help with the on-the-green game and much more. Please email me @ jpcarlin1963@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out with the event.
