Day Three

Mission 78 — Day Three

It was a rainy day in Eastern Kentucky, but even the torrential thunderstorms could not dampen the enthusiasm of the 17 missioners or their team leaders.

We held our evening meeting, where we discussed our days at our sites.

The students took the lead in the discussion.  

Brayden not only spoke about the work he did but also about the relationship he has developed with the family his team is serving.  

Brenna spoke about the difference she sees in herself from her first mission last year to this year's mission.  She has grown not only in her carpentry skills, but also in self-confidence.

Amelia said she had a good day prepping and painting with Laci (her mom) and getting to know Duck Duck, who spent the day at the Orange group site.

Calab talked about working with Dave and getting to know the house dog, “Brain dead”.

Lily took the lead on the on-site flooring job and palled around with her new friend Duck Duck the goose.

Adults from all the sites spoke about how the students have grown in confidence and how hard they all work.

The group is really beginning to find its stride and jell as a group and community. All the members of the group stayed to visit, swap stories, and get to know each other long after the end of our evening meeting.

These are the moments that create lasting memories and make the mission experience so special.
