Mission 76 Day Three

Day Three was another productive day for both groups. The Blue team is working toward finishing their projects at Martha's house tomorrow. The Yellow team, while making great progress this week, will leave Adrian's house for another group to finish what they started. This is one of the lessons we have to embrace when we do short-term mission trips: we are building off the work entrusted to us by prior mission groups, and we, in turn, expect the other groups to follow in our footsteps and build off the work we have done this week.
The group has, in a few short days, become very familiar and comfortable with each other. A playful bond has formed as the teams go about their work with joy and enthusiasm.
We capped off the day with dinner at Billy Ray's restaurant in Prestonburg, KY, about 20 minutes from the Foley Center, unless you were driving with Allen's crew. But that is a story I will let them tell. There was also a stop at the Scoop Shop ice cream parlor after dinner. It was a great evening with a lot of spirited conversation recounting old stories and new memories among friends old and new.
Because dinner ran late, we did not have our regular meeting this evening. Rather than trying to explain what we all did today, I will let the photos tell today's story.
